FWD Lab: Editor’s Corner

FWD Lab: Editor’s Corner

At PublicSpaces Lab we have always tried to be innovative in the way we do things. We have taken the role of experimenting new ways to engage new audiences for our artists, new ways of communicating with our artists and, in doing so, be more aware of the potential that they have. What we have achieved, in so little time, is for us the proof that we are on the right path and we will continue to keep this strategy that is based on 4 simple principles:

  1. Release what we like: The Lab is about people not about genres.
  2. Promote our artists as much as we can: That is what we are here for.
  3. Build a strong and vibrant community around the Lab: we are more than music.
  4. Help, with our experience, other netlabels in order to enable creative  synergies

With this in mind we have decided to take a new step that we are announcing today: PublicSpaces Lab will open a new section called “Editor’s Corner“.

This new section of the Lab’s website will feature guest editors  that will write about what moves them, what makes them tick. Not focused on music only, this will be a space that will bring new ideas to our community and, we hope, generate discussion. The guest editor will also have full access to our Twitter account to post links of interest to him/her. We are not looking for a specific profile for this: you can be a musician, a photographer, a economist, a journalist, an activist, unemployed, dog walker, a social media strategist, taxi driver (now that would be fun): we believe that everyone has something to say and to share. We will give you a space for you share your view of the world. In return we hope you bring a new audience to our artists. No strings attached.

At this stage we really need your input on this concept: What you think of this idea? Can we push even further? What would you do?

If you are interested in being a guest editor please drop as a line at guest.editor [at] pubspaces [dot] com

Another step of our journey is about to begin and we want you to be a part of it.
