As I said in the post, I really haven't heard many people do it to the extent that I'm suggesting. If you want to hear some good examples of people who've paved the way to what I'm talking about, I would recommend J-Dilla's productions (hip-hop) as well as the album "My Way" by Akufen (microsampled house).
