PS010 Cover featured on Mashbale
PublicSpaces Lab’s compilation PS010 “Ceci n’est pas une pipe” was featured on Mashable yesterday.
Founded in July 2005, Mashable is the world’s largest blog focused exclusively on Web 2.0 and Social Media news. With more than 10 million monthly pageviews, Mashable is the most prolific blog reviewing new Web sites and services, publishing breaking news on what’s new on the web and offering social media resources and guides. Mashable’s audience includes early adopters, social media enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, influencers, brands and corporations, marketing, PR and advertising agencies, Web 2.0 aficionados and technology journalists. Mashable is also popular with bloggers, Twitter and Facebook users — an increasingly influential demographic.
Even if we get lots of trackbacks from other sites, that announce our releases, there is one reason why we are highlighting this one: Mashable reaches a whole new audience for our releases and specially for PS010, a release that we are very proud of and our servers already felt the power of it with some downtime that we took care of immediately. This is a feature that we feel very proud of because, being a netlabel, we are all about sharing the music we release to the biggest audience possible and Mashable just has given us the opportunity to do just that.
Earlier today a mail was sent by Fernando Fonseca, PublicSpaces Lab A&R to everyone involved on the project that we would like to share with you:
Hello artists and dear friends,
I could not wait to send you this amazing news, in my opinion.
PS010, our latest release, of which some of you took part of, is being featured on the Free Music Roundup that the Social Media Web Mashable.
Not only was PS010 chosen for the Ambient category but the Cover Art for PS010, done by the most talented Fernando Mateus, was the image chosen to open the post.
All of this is the work of so many people: starting by the artists that believed in us to release them and gave us such wonderful material, the amazing work done by Pure Tone, mastering and making that the whole compilation fluid, the invisible work of Jordi and Rita that never ceased to promote this compilation in every way that they could and still do.
Alex, Fernando and Jens would like to thank you, in the name of everyone involved on this project, for your talent and support and for being crazy enough to put up with us.
We also would like to thank Barb Dybwad, from Mashable, for picking up PS010 for this week’s Ambient music pick.
Special and personal thanks go to Juan Carlos, Pipa, Alfonso and Belén (from Alex), Catarina Campos, Anthony, Douglas, Gavin Anderson and Joanna Helm (from Fernando), Silke Albrecht, Peter, Mona and Martha Jäger (from Jens).
